Natalie Wood.

From her teens until the last time I saw her, Natalie was perfectly groomed and always made up. Always. Even when she was getting up in the morning with virtually nothing to do - a rare occurrence - she would go to her dressing table after her bath, sit down, and put on her makeup. … It wasn’t, at least not at first, a sign of vanity. It was communicated to her that she must always be “on” as Natalie Wood, and that meant always looking like a movie star. She became a master of makeup and said to me, “In a pinch, I could always get work in pictures as a makeup artist.”
